Robert Kraft is a billionaire businessman who has invested in various business ventures. He is chairman and CEO of a diversified private holding company called the Kraft Group. His company’s assets are in paper and packaging, sports and entertainment, real estate development and a private equity portfolio.
Aside from that, he also owns some sports teams like the New England Patriots of the National Football League, the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer, and Gillette Stadium. The businessman was born on June 5, 1941 as Robert Kenneth Kraft in Brookline, Massachusetts, United States. He was born as the son of Sarah Bryna (Webber) and Harry Kraft. His parents owned a clothing manufacturer in Boston’s Chinatown. Also, his father was a lay leader at Kehillath Israel Congregation in Brookline. He has American citizenship and belongs to a Modern Orthodox Jewish family.
For his education, he attended Edward Devotion School and Brookline High School, graduating in 1959. He was a bright student during his high school where he did not participate in any sports as he thought it would hinder his studies. After that, he joined Columbia University after his academic scholarship. In his college, he played on his college’s sprint football team as running back and safety. In 1963, he graduated from Columbia and received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1965.

The boy who used to sell newspapers outside Braves Field in Boston has now become the nation’s billionaire businessman. Kraft began his career at the Worcester-based packaging company, Rand-Whitney Group, run by his father-in-law Jacob Hiatt. He then founded International Forest Products in 1972, which along with another company sells a large output of basic physical paper products.
Kraft was an investor in the New England Television Corp., which took control of WNAC-TV in 1982 and was named a member of the board of directors in 1983. In 1986, he was named president of the WNEV-TV company. Also, in 1974, Kraft and five others purchased the Boston Lobsters from World TeamTennis.
Apart from getting involved in different businesses, he is also a seasonal philanthropist. He donated hundreds of millions of dollars to a variety of philanthropic causes including education, health care, youth sports, and American and Israeli causes.

He first married his college sweetheart, Myra Nathalie Hiatt, in June 1963. They met in 1963 at a delicatessen in Boston’s Back Bay, then began their romantic relationship. The couple had welcomed four sons: Jonathan A Kraft, Daniel A Kraft, Joshua M Kraft and David H Kraft. But their relationship ended after the death of his wife on July 20, 2011 at the age of 68, due to ovarian cancer.
He already started dating his girlfriend Ricki Nol Lander (actress, model, designer and entrepreneur) in June 2012. In the fall of 2017, Lander gave birth to a son but Kraft denied paternity of the child he announced in May 2018. In the same year, their love relationship came to an end. Since her split from Lander, he has teamed up with his new girlfriend Dana Blumberg and they were seen together at the Super Bowl on February 2, 2020.

Controversy and legal problems:
The police chief of Jupiter, Florida, announced that he would face two misdemeanor charges on February 22, 2020. The charges he would receive for “soliciting another to prostitute himself,” stemming from a human trafficking bust in Jupiter. Investigators kept tabs on the Orchid of Asia day spa for more than eight months as they reported large-scale prostitution. At the spa, Kraft allegedly recorded videos of sexual activity, sex trafficking and forcing women to perform sexual acts on clients.
However, on May 23, the Judge ruled not to use videos after several hearings and trials with the declaration of his lawyer. Thus, on August 19, 2020, Kraft’s constitutional rights were violated when police obtained specific video footage, according to a Florida appeals court, and the video would not be admissible in court. On September 24, 2020, it was revealed that the charges against Kraft had been dropped due to lack of evidence. After that, the district court ordered the destruction of Orchids of Asia video records of Kraft and other customers.
