Participating in the ‘Juguemos a Cantar’ contest marked the beginning of Patricia Manterola’s journey. Although she reached the final, she did not emerge as the winner. Her modeling career initiated when she crossed paths with the band’s founder, Luis de Llano, who motivated her to join the new Garibaldi project.
Garibaldi, a group known for its modern interpretation of traditional tunes, adorned in freedom-inspired charro attire, became a significant platform for Manterola. She debuted in acting through a Vanity Fair ad in 1987 and went on to appear in the television program ‘Papa Soltero’ in an episode of Operation Cupido in 1989.
