Age, early childhood and rise to fame

Jonathan Rufino Jezus Schoop was born on the 16th day of October 1991 in Willemstad, city of Curacao, Netherlands. Although no detailed information is available about his early education, one thing is certain and that is that the Dutchman was interested in baseball from his teenage years. He is said to have started playing baseball in 2003 when he played for his local team in the Little League World Series before being signed as a free agent for the Baltimore Orioles. Jonathan Schoop competed in the 2011 Future All-Star Game alongside teammate Manny Machado and was honored with the Brooks Robinson Minor League Player of the Year award.

The baseballer was re-signed by the Baltimore Orioles in 2013 from the Triple-A Norfolk Tides and played his first game for the Orioles on September 25. He finished that season with a batting record .286, 5 runs and 1 run. The following season, he helped his team win the AL East league title for the first time since 1997.
