Dinah Manoff Biography
Dinah BethManoff was born to Arnold Manoff and Lee Grant in New York, New York on January 25, 1956. Her mother, Lee Grant, is an actress and director whose own mother was also an actress. His father, on the other hand, Arnold Manoff was a screenwriter until he was later blacklisted.
Of Polish-Jewish and Jewish-Russian descent, Dinah was raised as an only child by her parents until the age of 4, when their union ended in divorce which lasted nine years.
Unfortunately, his father died just five years later in 1965 as a result of a heart attack he suffered. She has three half-siblings from her father’s first marriage, including classical music critic, Tom Manoff. His mother married for the second time in 1962 to Joseph Feury, a television producer.
Dinah Manoff was raised primarily in New York City and Malibu, California. For her education, she went to Santa Monica High School and then to Studio Actors where she sought to improve her acting skills.
Even though having parents who performed well as actors would be considered a blessing for many people, hers almost became a curse because, looking at how good her mother was, she defeated herself believing that she could never get this good. This made it difficult for her when she was in the studio and getting roles became even more difficult.
Her first role as an actress was as a voice actor in the 1976 film Everybody Rides the Carousel. The same year, she was in The Strongest as well as in the television shows Welcome, Kotter, Visions, and Raid on Entebbe.
In the years that followed, she had several film roles, including in Grease (1978) Backfire (1988), Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael (1990), The Amati Girls (2000) and Bart’s Got a Room. (2008) . ). Manoff had numerous television appearances, including Soap (1978), Empty Nest (1988 to 1995), and State of Grace (2002). When she got her role in Grease, which launched her acting career, she had little self-confidence because she thought she was ugly and not good enough. Once she did a great job with it, she was already set.

Private life
Dinah Manoff walked down the aisle twice so far. Her first marriage was in 1980 to French designer Jean-Marc Joubert. The union only survived for five years before the transplants were removed in 1985. It was more than 10 years later before she remarried in 1997. This time around, she married Arthur Mortell , a motivational speaker.
His first marriage produced no children but the second had three children: a son, Dashiell, born in 1997, and twins. Unfortunately, while on his way to Washington State University where he studied, 19-year-old Dashiell was involved in an automobile accident that claimed his life in 2017.
