With his newfound notoriety, as well as his experience as co-producer on seasons 3 and 4 of Two Cops in Miami , he moved to Los Angeles. This was followed by the creation of his first series, Gideon Oliver , recounting the investigations of an anthropology professor and his daughter, which lasted only one season. In 1990, Dick Wolf founded his own production company – Wolf Films – and specialized in the detective genre. He then collaborated with David Black on HELP and Shock Brigade in Las Vegas , before creating one of his greatest successes: New York, judicial police , which notably won the Emmy for Best Drama Series.
