BIOGRAPHY
After high school, Chris Tucker first became known as a stand-up comedian . He made his film debut in the comedy House Party 3 but got his first major role, alongside Ice Cube , in the very festive Friday (1995). In 1997, he was Ruby Rhod, the very queer radio presenter of Luc Besson ‘s The Fifth Element . The same year, Chris Tucker was also Beaumont, a “balance” with a tragic destiny in Quentin Tarantino ‘s Jackie Brown , and Frankie Hatchett, a shabby con artist in Cash , Brett Ratner ‘s first feature film . The rest of Chris Tucker’s film career is then only linked to the fate of the Rush Hour franchise (1998), for which he found Ratner . His duet with Jackie Chan sparked and established him as a star. For Rush Hour 2 (2001), Chris Tucker became one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood. The actor logically returns for a third episode in 2007 but no longer appears in any other film in the meantime. The actor devotes himself to his shows, participates in charity concerts and is involved in the fight against poverty in Africa. Chris Tucker also made a name for himself by testifying in favor of his friend Michael Jackson during the latter’s trial in 2005.
